2 posts in one day

I've been a busy bee.  I've been card making, cooking, been to see my councillor, had a minor job done on the car and booked it in for it's MOT next week.  And I am stalking my neice on Facebook - she still hasn't had the baby yet and is 7 days overdue.  So as I am going to be working some long shifts during the next 2 weeks before I go on holiday, I have done these in preparation.
The first card is a "Card Front" from the Clip Art Fairy, and I used a digital scrapbooking software package to put it together, along with some stickles, ribbon and a charm.
The second card is made from Meljen's freebies, the ribbon and card is from my stash.

Oh dear - I thought I had done with Mothers Day

and here it is again (over the pond this time).  As I said last time I don't really do Mothers Day since I lost my Mum, however I couldn't resist this digi stamp from Nana Vic over on the Crafters Digital Art Centre, and it was a FREEBIE. I coloured it using my promarkers and added a little sparkle with Ice Stickles.

Hanglars

I just adore Hanglars images...

Here is a quick card using one and MME Stella and Rose Papers.  The card and brads are from my stash and the sentiment was computer generated using Word Art.  I used Promarker to colour the image, using cocoa, cinnamon and sandstone for his hair.

Its our 17th Wedding Anniversary

next weekend and I have remembered to make a card. Over the past few years, either I have forgotten or Kev has forgotten and on a couple of occasions we have both forgotten until Christine has wished us a Happy Anniversary.  This year our friends are having a party to celebrate their wedding in Sri Lanka, so the date is in our memories.

The image is a digi designed by Meljen and bought at Whimsy Stamps.  I love digi stamps because you can use them straight away without having to wait for the Postie. I'm not sure where the flower came from, it is another digi from my rapidly growing collection (many of them freebies). The card is from my stash, and the greeting is computer generated straight onto the card.

I hope you had a happy Easter.

I was back at work today, in fact I don't know where Easter has gone.  We had a lovely day yesterday with the family, but as soon as they had gone, I had to start getting things ready for work.

I have managed to do a card at last.  The image is a Hanglars one, and the papers are from a Tickled Pink paper pad called Fine and Dandy.  Card and Gems are from my stash.

I just had to buy Grace from Funky Kits.  I have coloured her with Promarkers, used Sweet Owl papers ( a delicious Paper Pad in pinks and browns), added brown card stock and 2 Prima roses.

I fell in love

with this adorable little dragon from Dragon Lair Designs.  He is called Rupert says Hello and is a digi bookmark. He reminds me of my favourite song when I was a little girl - Puff the Magic Dragon - I used to drive my parents crazy singing it over and over again.  I coloured him with Promarkers and used Ice Stickles for the glitter.

A Beautiful Sunday

morning...  I always feel better when the weather is good.  I've been up early this morning so I can take full advantage of it.  Lots of planting and repotting to do and I want to spend the rest of the day crafting.  So as they say on Blue Peter, here is one I made earlier.

I have used two digi stamp's - Easter Egg Briley and Meljens Designs Happy Easter Sentiments coloured with Promarkers. The papers, ribbon and gems are from my stash and I made flowers using punches and gems.

Well here is my latest effort with another fave -Stampavie's  Boy Texting by Mo Manning  and Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink papers, the image was coloured with Promarkers.  Gems and Cardstock are from my collection.

Back to work..

.. it seems like I didn't have the weekend off.  I'd love to be able to just craft - I have loads of ideas I want to play with but no time to do them.  Ah well. we can all dream

Here is another card I've just put the finishing touches on - I will have to find a better way to photograph them as it does look better in "real life".

I used an old stamp that I don't even know the name of and Sweet owl paper, the gems and card stock are all from my stash.

Where has the weekend gone...

......its Sunday evening already and I am getting ready for work tomorrow. It has been a good one though. Christine came round with my Mothers Day card and pressy and some news that I can't reveal yet. I've had a lovely crafty day today.  I have almost done 8 cards, I still need to put sentiments on them, but I am very pleased with them.

Here is one that I did finish using a free digi and paper from my stash.

Over a week......

.........since I was last on here.  I have had such a busy week.  Last weekend Kev and I went to Budapest with our friends, 16 of us in total, and had a fantastic time.  Bupapest is a beautiful city.  The food and drink prices were so cheap, and the company was fantastic - which is a great recipe for a great time. I'll upload some photo's later.  We got back home at midnight on Sunday and I started my new job at 8:45 Monday.  Not a lot to report there yet as we are in classroom training for 4 weeks.
I decided today was going to be a "me day", and I was going to spend all day crafting but life took over. I got up late and had an appointment at 2:30 with my councillor, then I had to food shop.  Now I can chill.

I have only managed one card up to now with my favourite CosmoBella stamp and MME Stella and Rose Mabel papers, flowers and ribbons from my stash...

So much to do.....

and so little time.

We are going away tomorrow morning for the weekend on our much awaited trip to Budapest.  We get back late Sunday and I start my new job on Monday. So I am packing for the weekend, ironing clothes for next week, inbetween my appointment with Debbie, hair cut, shopping and trying to keep up with a list of cards I have promised to make.   I really think I am going to meet myself coming back (as my Mum used to say).

Well here is one card I have managed to do, and I have fitted it into a couple of challenges too. The image is by Penny Johnson at Stampavie, the pp is MME Stella and Rose Hattie papers and the brads from my collection.

not just cards.....

I also do scrapbooking.

This is a photo of my darling daughter Christine, when we went on a family holiday to Crete to celebrate my 50th.  No end to my talents  - in a week you've caught me baking, gardening, card making and now scrapbooking.
Do I really want to go back to work????????????

I have entered this into The Scrapbook Sisters Scrapbook Challenge.

Right... the pototo's are planted, so are the strawberries in a hanging basket.  The tomato seeds are now little plants along with the peas and carrots - these need to be transplanted, into bigger pots before going into their final resting place when the last of the frost has gone.  I know the weather is absolutely gorjuss at the mo, but it is still blimming cold at night. I can't beleive how organised I am becoming.  It won't last for long, it never does  hahahah. xx

Easter Bunny

The first of many Easter cards I need to make to go with the mounds of chocolate I need to buy.....apart from Billy, my 13 year old grandson who doesn't do chocolate.  The kid must be mad.........

The digi stamp is a freebie from Spyders Corner called "I picked these 4 U bunny", and the papers and flowers from my stash.

6 more days.....

till I start my new job and I was just starting to enjoy my time off, blog hopping, entering challenges and crafting.

This new card i have made with a digi called Summer Milly from Pink Gem Designs and my second hand stash (see post earlier).  I really enjoyed doing this one.

Chocolate Fudge Cake Anyone

It's Kev's birthday so I decided to make a cake with help from the delicious James Martin........... (his Deserts Recipe book, but a girl can dream can't she)  Kev loves chocolate so a chocolate fudge cake sounded great.

All baked and fudge icing made- all about to be put together and oooooooooooops -I've gone and broken the top layer......£$$%$£"!^^

Its a good job that there is fudge icing to stick it all together.

It looks awful but the icing does taste lovely............

Me Gardening?

and we haven't even got a garden!
I've decided to try to grow some veggies in pots.  I've just planted some carrots, onions, beetroot, peas, french beans, lettuce and tomato seeds in seed tray thingies (shows how much I know).  I've just got to get potato sets and strawberry plants now.

I've put them in the front window as that is where we get the sun all day.  I wonder if when I transplant them into pots, I can put them in the front garden (on the gravel), or if they will get stolen.  Not that the neighbourhood is bad or anything - but one never knows does one.  lol xx

Second Hand Stash

Over a year ago, a colleague gave me a pile of stash.  It had belonged to her Grandma, who had recently passed away.  After a cursory glance I put it into the bottom of a cupboard and didn't look at it again  ---until today.  Wow - the papers are ideal for card making.  Sadly I cannot credit the manufacturers as I haven't a clue who made/designed them - there are no labels on them. But I feel a wealth of cards coming on.......

A while ago I bought some cute squares from Lily of the Valley, cos I had completely gone off stamping - nothing I did ever turned out right - I have now discovered pro-markers and got the stamping bug again, however I need to use up these squares so I have made a batch of cards all similar to this.  I will probably give them to the grandkids to pass out to their friends.

PP is from the PM For Him collection.
This is a lift from Leanns Crafty Ramblings...  I am not sure what the stamp is - the image was sent to me a long time ago in a swap -- the top paper is an old one from my stash and the bottom one is from the new divine MME Stella and Rose, Mabel collection.  Thank you Leann - I just love your cards.

One more week

Just musing as one does, and realised I only have one more week off work until I start my new job.  It will be a great shock to my system as I haven't worked since last December.......I suppose I need to do something to keep me in crafty stash.

Here's another wedding card - it was a card lift, but I cannot remember where from (note to me - be more organised).  So I am very sorry to the creator of this design - but I love it.

MY FIRST EVER POST

and the site is not even finished.  I did feel the need to share this card though.

Black and white seems a funny colour combination for a wedding, especially as the couple are getting married in sunnier climes (I am NOT jealous), but this gorgeous stamp  (Dot flourishes from Inkadinkadoo) didn't need anything apart from a couple of crystal gems.
